Né à Dakar, Majdi Yassine est libano-franco-sénégalais, marié et père de trois enfants. Il cumule 25 ans d'expérience professionnelle, dont plus de 20 ans dans le secteur des assurances au Sénégal. Il débute en 2004 en tant qu'inspecteur commercial chez AXA Assurances Sénégal, puis fonde en 2007 Kapital Assurances, son premier cabinet de courtage.
Born in Dakar, Majdi Yassine is Lebanese-French-Senegalese, married with three children. He has 25 years of professional experience, more than 20 of which in the insurance sector in Senegal. He began in 2004 as a commercial inspector at AXA Assurances Sénégal, then founded Kapital Assurances in 2007.
En 2008, il rejoint le groupe pan-africain Colina comme COO pour co-créer la filiale sénégalaise. Nommé Directeur Général en 2011, il dirige l'entreprise pendant 13 ans à travers trois changements de groupe : Saham (Maroc), Sanlam (Afrique du Sud), puis la fusion SanlamAllianz — actée en mai 2024.
In 2008, he joined the pan-African Colina group as COO to co-create the Senegalese subsidiary. Appointed General Manager in 2011, he led the company for 13 years through three group changes: Saham (Morocco), Sanlam (South Africa), then the SanlamAllianz merger — completed in May 2024.
Depuis 2019, il est Administrateur Indépendant et Président du Comité d'Audit de Bank of Africa Côte d'Ivoire.
Depuis 2024, il est Administrateur et Président du Comité Stratégique de Kapital Assurances (Kapassur).
